The new Hawthorne Branch building will be built adjacent to the existing branch, which will remain open during construction. Once the new branch is open for business, the existing building will be demolished and a majority of it will be recycled.

The new 8,700 square foot building will incorporate green building practices, such as a partial green roof that will save energy and reduce storm water runoff. The branch will also have an exterior living wall that in time will be covered with vegetation. The branch will be lit by T5 lighting which uses 30% less energy than T12 florescent bulbs.

Members on foot or bike will enjoy a walk-up teller station and covered bike parking. Other features will include a drive thru lane, night deposit drop, selfservice coin counting machine, six teller stations, room for six account officers, an investment representative and mortgage loan officer.
